I'm an editor based in Texas specializing in fiction with a background in literary publishing and novel editing.

Welcome to my world!  Allow me to help you build yours.

It began with The Hobbit, as it does for many. The love for fiction, for storytelling, for escaping emerged and planted itself deep within, and I've loved every moment since. Even when I was young, my nose was always buried deep within the pages of books or scribbling intensely in my notebook (usually at inappropriate times). As I grew up, classmates would fret about what path they would choose for their life. Not me. I've always known my future would revolve around books, and I'm so blessed that it has come to fruition.

One can only imagine my delight when I learned I could earn a degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Literature (actually surround myself with books for a living). I worked tremendously hard, thoroughly enjoying my workshop classes where we learned the art of craft and dove into each other's pieces—not only aiding our peers' stories but also strengthening our own. I surrounded myself with community, evolving and experimenting with various genres and techniques. While I rose to leadership positions within our organized groups, I also grew in my courage.

Some fiction and poetry pieces were published in literary magazines, and some weren't. I was lucky enough to find a position as a freelance writer for magazines, websites, and other content modes, expanding my skill set beyond fiction and into the editorial realm. Through my time as a content ghostwriter, I continued cultivating relationships with fellow writers, encouraging and developing their stories as well as my own.

As time passed, I fell into a belief that my name wouldn't appear alongside an article or story again. While I enjoyed ghostwriting web content, I missed losing myself in fiction.

Until I found my courage once more.

After submitting a proposal to be a freelance editor for a fiction novel, they chose me. Me—the one who thought it would never happen. Since that first novel, I have edited numerous others and short stories varying in genres and styles, gaining momentum and enthusiasm after every finalized product.

I've met many delightful people through this world—and the many worlds within. It brings me so much joy to build and develop a brand new one with a writer, assisting and strengthening their characters and plots line by line. Or even to be the final eyes before they—courageously—submit for publication. Every step of the way not only garners an eager desire to edit more, more, and more, it also encourages me to continue my writing.

Allow me into the world of your story, and you'll see it blossom and become a place where others will find rest and wonder.
