Oh, flossing. It’s either everyone’s best friend or worst enemy. People become experts at lying and making excuses when the dentist asks that dreaded question: “How often do you floss?” Unfortunately, they can tell when we lie! Lots of us don’t feel we have the time. Or we may struggle to reach all the way to the back of their mouth with those darned strings. There are tons of choices when it comes to flossing. But some are pricey, providing another excuse for not practicing daily oral hygiene. But what if there were more natural ways to keep your teeth, gums, and mouth healthy?

Archeologists have discovered through pictorial evidence that thousands of years ago, humans were removing hair. In representations of 20+ thousand years ago, the women have long, braided hair while the men didn't have any. It's assumed they used very sharp stone tools or shells to remove it (along with some skin, probably). Some theories claim that since they didn't wash their hair, it emitted foul odors that would scare away prey, affecting hunters in the Stone Age. Another theory is that their hair would've been the perfect home for parasites like lice and mites, giving a great reason for cutting their hair.

When picturing weddings it’s easy to imagine the same types of things over and over again. With traditions and trends, weddings in the past have in a way blurred together in similarity. They were very classy and storybook, and had all of the traditional boxes checked. But all of that is changing. Brides aren’t necessarily throwing out the old ideas but they are certainly making them their own.
